What’s going on, ProFans? I’m taking a break from starving myself for the metric ton of ribs I’m gonna eat on the 4th to bring you the latest releases to home media for July 3, 2018. In this week’s episode, we discuss overprotective dads, a based on a true story film, and fairy tales come to life. Let’s get to it.

Blockers (R)
Metascore: 69

Lisa Decker (Leslie Mann), Hunter (Ike Barinholtz), and Mitchell (John Cena) are flummoxed when they discover their daughters Julie (Kathryn Newton), Sam (Gideon Adlon), and Kayla (Geraldine Viswanathan) are planning to lose their virginity at prom. What happens next is a comedic turn of events that leads to a lot of understanding and a lot of heart. This film, which also stars Hannibal Buress, June Diane Raphael, and Gary Cole, is available in a two disc Blu-ray/DVD + Digital HD version and a single disc DVD version. This film has a lot of heart and is surprisingly fun. Give it a watch.

Borg vs. McEnroe (R)
Metascore: 63

In 1980, the tennis world was set ablaze with the rival between the fiery John McEnroe (Shia LaBoeuf) and the steely Björn Borg (Sverrir Gudnason). Competitors on the tennis courses and in the public eye, their brutal game of one-upmanship came to a head at the most famous tournament in the world: Wimbledon. This film, which also stars Stellan Skarsgård, Tuva Novotny, and Robert Emms, is available in a single disc Blu-ray version and a single disc DVD version. The Borg-McEnroe match was one of the greatest competitions of all time, and this film captures it perfectly. Check it out.

Grimm: The Complete Collection
Metascore: 55

Join Portland detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) as he finds out his family history as a legendary Grimm – a warrior who protects humanity from the fairytale creatures come to life. Alongside Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby), they fight the good fight against those who threaten humanity. This series, which also stars Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, and Sasha Roiz, is available in a 28 disc Blu-ray version, and a 29 disc DVD version. This is the collection for lovers of the NBC drama. This is a must buy for them.
