First-Class Love

Jane and Michael. Michael and Jane. These are finally together and it’s nauseating. Michael is nauseatingly perfect. He owns up to his wrongdoing. He is sweet with Mateo. He apologizes to Rafael. He quits his job for Jane. Jane is nauseatingly happy. They are nauseatingly cute. This cannot end well.

Synchronized Drinking

Jane is back to waitressing. When Lina is accused of sneaking alcohol, they discover Luisa is back to drinking. Not even the synchronized swimmers can save her. She’s devastated over losing Rose and all the Mutter craziness, Actually, it’s a surprise everyone on this show isn’t drinking, heavily. Susanna urges her to go back to rehab. Hopefully, Luisa can heal and these two can have a future. Someone on this show should.

Choices, Choices

Xiomara and Rogelio try conscious uncoupling and find themselves re-coupling in bed. The ex sex is always hot. Rogelio is hoping Xiomara will change her mind about having kids and Xiomara is hoping he’ll choose being with her over having kids. They decide to ditch the uncoupling for a good old-fashioned break up. Breaking up is hard to do. Especially, on this show. I give it four episodes before they are somehow back together.

Second-Class to Citizen Jane

Petra is trying to nest and Rafael is trying to help. Unfortunately for Petra, helping involves mentioning Jane. A lot. He makes her feel like a second-class citizen. After Jane makes Rafael feel like a second-class citizen, he vows to be there for Petra. He gives an impassioned speech, leans in for the kiss… but Petra is a smart cookie. Line of the night: I’m not a second-class citizen, Raf. But I’m not a second choice, either.

L-O-L-A

Petra isn’t the only second choice. Jane chooses to comfort her mother instead of going to a red carpet premiere with her father. Paola, Rogelio’s new assistant, points this out and Rogelio’s feelings are hurt. But Paola will put him first. A brief-sniffing-super-stalker kind of first. Paola is none other than Lola, Rogelio’s inmate pen pal. Lola locks Rogelio in a room with her. Even worse, she admits she never met J. Lo.
