Previously, on Once Upon a Time in Wonderland: “The Serpent”

This week begins with a bit more information on The Queen and Knave’s love affair. Anastasia was quite charming and Knave was obviously smitten.

The Queen offers Alice an alliance as they share an enemy in Jafar. The Queen wants a powder that will protect her from Dark Magic. Unfortunately, it can only be reached by one who is pure of heart. She offers to trade Cyrus for the powder. Alice is running out of ideas, so she agrees to give it a try. Cyrus is making friends with the other prisoner. He is ready to try his wishbone escape hatch and is willing to help out his trapped comrade. The other gentleman is a true friend, when tossed the keys, he drops them into the pit to avoid slowing Cyrus on his journey.

Jafar tries to woo the White Rabbit to his side. When that fails, he turns to torture. He removes the Rabbit’s foot in an attempt to find the name of someone he can use against Alice.

Alice meets Creepy Young Alice on her quest for the powder. She is offered the chance to kill The Queen but refuses to murder her tentative ally. This proves the purity in her heart and she is awarded the powder.

The Queen proves why she could not obtain the powder on her own by stealing it and refusing to hand over Cyrus. More flashbacks show how Anastasia turned her back on The Knave to become Queen. Just when we are ready to full our weight behind despising her, she uses the powder to save Knave from his fate as a statue.
