AMC is Sending Breaking Bad Out with a Bang
We’ve long known the series finale of Breaking Bad would air September 29th, but AMC just keeps sweetening the deal for us.
That’s right, the final episode of one of the best television series ever is right around the corner; Breaking Bad‘s series finale airs September 29, 2013, and AMC refuses to send the series off to Belize quietly. It was recently announced that the final two episodes (“Granite State” and “Felina”) have been extended to 75 minutes each; that’s a half-hour more of Breaking Bad goodness. Now we’ve learned, on the night of the finale, Breaking Bad‘s aftershow Talking Bad will go live immediately following the episode’s conclusion and be stretched for the entire hour (as opposed to making us wait beyond another episode of Low Winter Sun). The episode of Low Winter Sun is being unceremoniously pushed to 11:15pm, like a pair of Walter White’s pants left to wander the desert.
As if that wasn’t enough, AMC will also be reairing every single episode of Breaking Bad, beginning by airing the first 46 episodes from 8pm Wednesday night (9/25) through Friday night (9/27). The marathon will then take a break on Saturday and resume with the entire season 5 on Sunday, leading up to the finale. It’s a Breaking Bad Blow-Out Bonanza!
The hour-long finale episode of Talking Bad will feature Vince Gilligan, Aaron Paul, Jesse Plemons, RJ Mitte, Giancarlo Esposito, Jonathan Banks, and Jimmy Kimmel.
