Ana and Christian Cast in 50 Shades of Grey

I read 50 Shades of Grey. I’m not proud. I didn’t read the next two books in the series so I suppose I have that going for me.

I enjoyed the book, somewhat. Hey, I said I’m not proud.

Anyway, after almost a year of speculation we finally know who will play Ana Steele and Christian Grey in the movie adaptation. Dakota Johnson (The Social Network), daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, will be playing Ana, the young woman who gets completely turned out (and turned on) by millionaire Christian Grey. Grey will be played by Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam.

The author of the book series, E.L. James, tweeted the casting announcements earlier this morning.

And just like that, I will go see this movie. Don’t judge me. Not proud of it, remember?

What do you think of these casting choices?

  1. I think that this will work. I did read the books ( also, not proud). I was late to the bandwagon and just recently read the series. It was not my usual read, and not my favorite. I did not want to end on the first book and continue to wonder what happened throughout the rest of the series. I am not a giant fan, but there is a much bigger chance that I will be watching the movie(s) now that Charlie Hunnam will be Grey. I am a HUGE fan of him. 😉
