Arrow - S6E20 - Shifting Allegiances
Previously on Arrow, “The Dragon”
This week Oliver got himself captured by Diaz so that he could get close to him, and attempted to beat him in a fistfight so that he would leave town. Alas, villains don’t fight fair, and Oliver ended up with a knife between the ribs for his troubles.
The Good
After 6 years of seeing Diggle playing second fiddle to Oliver, it’s refreshing to see him using his leadership skills working for ARGUS.
David Nykl as Anatoly always does great work with what he’s given, and the scenes between Oliver and Anatoly were real standouts this episode, creating some nice character moments drawing upon the years of history between these characters.
The Bad
As good as the scenes between Oliver and Anatoly were this episode, between Anatoly and Not-Laurel the show is really getting repetitive with teasing potential redemption for supposed bad guys. At some point it just gets boring.
Wait. How did Oliver fly to Russia while out in bail?
Quote of the Week
“If you seriously believe that then you are even bigger fool than I thought. THAT is saying something.” - Anatoly to Oliver
