So, listen. We need to talk about these creepy-ass kids. I don’t think there’s one non-creepy-ass kid on this show. They gotta go. I’m not even sure they can be saved. This town needs to lock their little asses in a cave somewhere and start the hell over.

The least scary kid this episode was the one possessed by a dead boy so that’s saying something. After Mike calls his wife to say their daughter just showed up in the middle of the night (she didn’t freak out nearly enough for my tastes), he learns that Lily isn’t herself. She’s Eddie, I think, because she tells him he needs to burn Eddie’s remains and talks about how weird it is being in that body. Once the body is burned, Lily is suddenly Lily again. I mean, I guess that’s the way to go. Personally, I’m not doing shit a creepy-ass possessed kid tells me to do, even if it is my daughter. Mike better burn some incense and bathe that child in sage.

Deputy Sheriff Amy Welch (Luisa D’Oliveira) seems to be the only one suspicious of Mrs. Booth, and for good reason. Not only does she have the puppets from Candle Cove, she fed her own son to Eddie so he could be taken there, and by taken there, I mean killed.  In other flashbacks we learn that Eddie tried to lure Jessica to her death, but Mike intervened. He made sure Jessica remembered how to tell he and Eddie apart (Eddie has an extra tooth), and she said she’d know the difference if she kissed him. Because of this, I thought my Mike is really Eddie theory would be proven when they kissed, but that didn’t happen and it can’t ever happen now.

The most terrifying scene of the series - even more disturbing that the Tooth-Child eating out of Mrs. Booth’s hand - occurred when Jessica finally went home. There she finds children in freaky masks and holding knives. She pulls out a gun, but one of the creepy-ass kids said she wouldn’t dare shoot them because they’re kids. *sucks teeth* My husband said she needed to shoot those kids in the kneecaps. Screw.That. I said shoot them in the face. This ain’t a game.

She doesn’t. One stabs her in the back and she doesn’t shoot. Just stumbles around, eventually heading outside where the children surround her and stab her to death. (Second time this actress died on TV this week.) The death isn’t shown; instead we watch another child walking up the body as we hear Jessica’s cries and the squelching of blades meeting flesh.
