The Devil in Her Heart

Chloe is experiencing PTSD/I-think-I-may-be-working-with-the-devil because she’s starting to realize that 2+2 = Lucifer is the devil. On the flip side, Lucifer is determined to figure out why Chloe is affecting him so much and decides having sex with her is the answer. That leads to lots of shenanigans as Lucifer and Chloe go undercover at a “players club” to find a missing girl.

There is one particular moment where Lucifer pulls a “naked man” on Chloe and she sees the scars left from when he removed his angel wings. It’s an intimate moment that’s played well by both Tom Ellis and Lauren German. Chloe looks like she’s terrified she’s going crazy and Lucifer looks like he’s realizing what feelings are for the first time.

Bloody Devil

Over in the B-plot, Maze and Amenadiel engage in some light hand-to-hand combat. Even though she’s concerned about how Lucifer is changing, Maze is a loyal lieutenant and she won’t turn on Lucifer.

All of this might change because Amenadiel is right. Something in Lucifer has changed. When Chloe and Lucifer track down the missing girl, everything comes to a head. Lucifer wants to dole out his own brand of punishment. Chloe shoots him to stop him and prove that he’s not an immortal angel. They’re both surprised when Lucifer starts to bleed.

At one point, Lucifer asks Chloe directly if he scares her. She lies and says no but I think she is scared of what’s she seeing. She may not believe in heaven and hell but she can’t deny her own two eyes. Lucifer, on the other hand, is fascinated by the changes he’s going through because he genuinely doesn’t know what’s going to happen next.

“Were you hit on the head when you were small?” – Lucifer, trying to figure out why Chloe doesn’t want to have sex with him.

“The berries are ripe and ready to be harvested” – Lucifer, of course referring to his nethers.
