Neil deGrasse Tyson Talks Star Trek
Astrophysicist Neil deGrasses Tyson recently made his case for why he prefers Star Trek to Star Wars.
Ahead of this week’s release of Star Trek Into Darkness, arguably the world’s most popular scientist* Neil deGrasse Tyson spoke with Business Insider about the age-old question: Star Wars or Star Trek? Tyson is well-known for popularizing science and has been particularly celebrated on the internet. He hosts the podcastStarTalk Radio, which has now joined the Nerdist Youtube channel. The man is all over the place, putting science all in your face. We got a badass over here. If that’s not enough Neil deGrasse Tyson (as if it ever is), he has also been hard at work on an updated version of Carl Sagan’s classic series Cosmos, which will hit Fox in Fall 2014.
*I didn’t forget about Bill Nye the Science Guy, of course, and the two of them are good friends, which is cool in and of itself.
