New Extended Hercules Trailer with Dwayne Johnson
The new extended trailer for Hercules was released Tuesday and includes an additional 60 seconds of exposition and action.
Back in March we got our first look at the poster and trailer for the movie. The new trailer is full of CGI wonder. There is a sneak peek of Ian McShane and John Hurt and the first real exposure to The Rock’s ancient Greece accent of choice. This Hercules has the feel of what it would be like if 300 and Clash of the Titans (2010) had a cinematic baby. As a long time fan of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, I am fully aware of his limitations as an actor, and this extended trailer is not giving me the hope this will be anything more than a forgettable summer popcorn film. I will head to the theaters because, well, glistening biceps. Check out the new trailer and tell us what you think: $15 bucks and IMAX or make it a Redbox night?
Hercules, directed by Brett Ratner and starring Dwayne Johnson, John Hurt, Rufus Sewell, and Ian McShane; opens July 25, 2014.
