Feast Yon Eyes on New Images of Black Sails Season 3
Ahoy, ye brigards and scallywags! Put down yer grog for a moment and gaze upon a taste of the vast riches that’ll soon be at your lap!
*ahem* Sorry about that.
Recently, Starz unveiled new images and a premiere date for their Emmy®-award winning original series Black Sails, which will be storming to your screens Saturday, January 23 at 9ET/PT!
As announced by Starz:
Season three opens in the wake of the destruction of Charles Town, where the world lives in fear of Captain Flint. When his campaign of terror crosses over into madness, it falls to John Silver to locate the man within the monster. Meanwhile, with Eleanor Guthrie gone, Jack Rackham and Captain Charles Vane struggle to secure Nassau for the ages.
Starring Toby Stephens, Hannah New and Luke Arnold, the ten-episode season will provide a great deal of turmoil for Stephen’s Captain Flint, who discovers his equal in legend and terror in the form of Blackbeard, played by the intimidating Ray Stevenson (“Rome, Insurgent, Divergent). Also joining the cast is Luke Rogers (“Wolf Hall, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), portraying historic figure Woodes Rogers.
Additionally, the fourth season of Black Sails will soon begin production in South Africa, and in case you want to seize your grubby mitts on something substantial, the second season is available on DVD and Blu Ray November 3.
Black Sails was created by Jonathan E. Steinberg (“Jericho, “Human Target) and Robert Levine (“Touch) and executive produced by Michael Bay (the Transformers franchise, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor), and his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Purge), as well as Chris Symes (Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Eragon) and Dan Shotz (“Jericho, “Harper’s Island).
