Podcast Fandom Episode 51: House of Cards S2 Episodes 1 thru 4

The Netflix original series House of Cards is back for its second season. The political drama starring Kevin Spacey as the devious Frank Underwood is about as binge-worthy as TV gets.

John and I sat down to record a podcast covering our thoughts on the season’s first four episodes. We’ll be recording our thoughts on episodes 5 - 8 later today. And we’ll wrap up the season with a podcast on episodes 9 - 13 tomorrow.

Here’s a summary of what you’ll hear in this episode.

Season 2, Episode 1 “Chapter Fourteen” -  As Frank prepares to become Vice President, Zoe is piecing together what happened between him and the deceased Peter Russo. Claire turns super ice cold as she maneuvers to put the lawsuit with Gillian to bed.

Season 2, Episode 2 “Chapter Fifteen” - Holy shit! Welp. One person who was digging just a bit too much is gone. However, Lucas continues to dig into Frank’s involvement into what has now become two deaths. Frank’s replacement, Jackie, proves she can be just as ruthless.

Season 2, Episode 3 “Chapter Sixteen” - Stamper tries to keep Rachel under wraps while she struggles with her new situation. He also works to discredit Lucas, who continues to investigate.

Season 2, Episode 4 “Chapter Seventeen” - While Frank is trapped by an anthrax scare, Jackie proves her mettle and Claire handles a sensitive live interview on her own. Lucas remains unaware he’s being set up.
