Silk (2015) #1
Previously in Silk #7
Even though Secret Wars hasn’t ended yet, a few of the new series taking place after its events have already debuted. The last time we saw Cindy Moon, she’d just raced across the city to her long-lost brother, and reunited with him just as the world ended.
Now, Cindy is back working at The Fact Channel by day - this time with a promotion - and busting up criminal activities at night - and sometimes during the day. Her brother, Alfred, is in a mental health facility, recovering from his drug addiction and no memory of what happened to him or their parents.
Since she can’t get answers from her brother, Silk tries to dig up info while dismantling those responsible: The Goblin Nation.
Cindy’s search for the truth may be her most dangerous mission yet. She’s caught between Alchemax and Black Cat, all while the Goblin King is hulking up his army.

Summary
There was something from this issue that I cannot put my finger on. The story is solid enough, and the twists at the end (which I won’t spoil) promise an interesting run, but there’s a charm missing. Perhaps it’s because prior to this, Cindy’s search for her family was filled with hope.
Curious to see if she is in over her head, trying to fool some pretty seasoned people in the superhero game. Looking forward to learning more about Albert.
