Supernatural - S11E22 - We Happy Few
Previously on Supernatural, “All in the Family”
Supernatural starts off with probably the stupidest scene in the show’s history. Chuck and Lucifer play out a typical father/son sitcom relationship with Chuck trying to explain why he had to cage Lucifer, while Lucifer acts like the asshole teenage kid. This was so bad that Lucifer even did the “locking himself in his room and listening to loud music” trope.
Sam and Dean attempt to mediate between the two in order to get them to focus on Amara instead of old shit. Chuck eventually apologizes to Lucifer (which is all he wanted) and they move on to the plan, which is to have Lucifer (with the help of Castiel) recruit the Angels while Dean and Sam recruit Crowley and Rowena (and the witch’s coven) respectively - with Crowley and the witch’s coven acting as substitutes for the two archangels that have been destroyed.
The plan sort of works as the parties involved attack Amara one-by-one, leaving her open for Chuck to finish the job. Unfortunately, he kind of hesitates giving Amara an opportunity to get the upper hand and incapacitate Chuck. As the episode ends with Chuck/God winking out of existence and the beginning of the end of the world.

Summary
The first act of this episode really took me out of it and if I wasn’t reviewing this for Project Fandom I would’ve turned it off. Lucifer acting like Chris from Fear the Walking Dead is not my idea of riveting TV. Also, throughout the episode I kept thinking “Why is Lucifer still in Castiel’s body”? You would think Chuck would be able to help out with that, no? At least they somewhat recovered in the final act as the team-up vs Amara leading to her overpowering God (by sheer will I guess) was cool.
