Previously on The Vampire Diaries, ‘Man on Fire’
Tyler wakes up and realizes a Traveler has been squatting in his body. He wolfs out and kills a few before escaping. He warns Stefan and Damon about Markos’ plan to get rid of all magic so that the Travelers can settle into Mystic Falls without causing the end of the world. Damon decides to take Stefan and Elena to Caroline’s dad’s cabin to hide out. Caroline puts a thought into Damon’s head that Elena and Stefan are acting mighty cozy and secretive. Not sure why Caroline is reverting back to her mean girl ways, but we’ll see how this goes.
Bonnie continues to hide the fact that The Other Side is breaking down from Jeremy. A visit from her Gram reveals that it’s getting worse and now she’s able to manipulate objects in the real world. This doesn’t bode well the gang at the cabin as Enzo’s spirit is there and able to move things as well. Matt and Jeremy tie up Tyler and force the The Traveler, Julian, to appear. They question him about Markos’ whereabout and resort to torture. It’s okay though cause this was all Matt’s idea. Markos is pissed because they can’t find Julian or the doppelgängers.
After Enzo tries to kill Elena, the truth comes out and Damon is not happy. Caroline is butthurt that Stefan kept something from her. She denies having had a connection with Enzo and Stefan says he didn’t want her to think less of him. Do I smell a romance brewing? The Travelers perform a spell to make Julian’s residence in Tyler’s body permanent.
