Why Can’t George R.R. Martin Focus?

If George R.R. Martin’s name is in the news, I want it to be for ONE thing, and one thing only: the release date for the next A Song of Ice and Fire book, The Winds of Winter.

I don’t want to see pictures of him on the red carpet of HBO’s Game of Thrones’ premieres. I don’t want to see him helping out on the set of the show.

All I want to see is him sitting down, banging out books. Period.

So, imagine how ridiculously excited I got when I saw headlines teasing that Harper Collins announced a newGame of Thrones book for December 2013.

Pretty.Fucking.Excited.

I was all up in my feelings.

Then I read the articles and it was a major womp womp.

While I LOVE Tyrion Lannister, I am not amused by this The Wit and Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister being released this winter. Not even a little bit. It’s basically a collection of the best of Tyrion’s lines. Entertaining, yes. But not what I wanted.

GRRM, get your life together.

Of course, I will be buying it, but that is besides the point! What about you? Will you be buying The Wit and Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister?

    Nina, what did you think of this? I did not even realize that this was a project. I wanted to see if you purchased it already, and see how you felt about it. I think that I will have to purchase it out of principal because Tyrion is almost my favorite ASOIAF character.
