Fort Myers, FL – September 15, 2014 – Pushing Daizies, Inc. invites you to join us for ZombiCon 8 - Voodoo Nightmare. There will be six entry points to the event, we are asking for a $5 donation upon entry to benefit Pushing Daizies and help us do all the super cool stuff we do. All proceeds donated at ZombiCon this year, ensure the future of the event and help us realize our goal of making art and music available for everyone in our community and of course bringing more Zombi-awesomeness to the area, including the 30th anniversary of Day of the Dead in 2015.
Featured this year at Zombicon 8, over 30 live performances on five stages! The stages will showcase the eclectic blend of bands and DJs you have come to expect from ZombiCon, and this year we have some acts that will blow you away! Look forward to some returning fan favorites along with some freshly dead talent to include new bands and acts like magicians, fire dancers and acrobats!
The Swamp is our spooky new featured space with art, ambiance and acts you won’t see anywhere else. It will be located next to the new downtown water feature (zombies can’t swim) on Dean and Edwards. This is the place to see special Zombi acts, amazing bands and some awesome performances so good we can’t even tell you about them yet.
The Swamp is free to experience until 7:30 pm. At 7:30, there will be a $5 cover charge to enter if you have your wristband showing you already donated to Pushing Daizies at the entrance to downtown. If you are smart and get your all access super awesome laminated badge, you can go in and out all day and night. Want to enter the swamp but didn’t donate to Pushing Daizies? That’s cool; you can get in for $10. Don’t forget, all the money we take in ensures the future of Zombicon and enables us to enrich local children’s lives through art and music.
Want to jump through the entrance lines faster than a Resident Evil Zombie? Get your all access passes in advance. These passes will be available starting on October 3, 2014, for $10 each. This provides entrance to ZombiCon and “The Swamp”. With your advance all access pass purchase, you not only get a spiffy laminated ZombiCon guest badge, but you get to enter the event through the extra special swamp entrance located next to Harborside Convention Center.
