Kamala Khan enrolled in a private school where uniforms are mandatory. She could blend in and be, literally, like everyone else… and that was the point. With no distractions or expectations, she was able to take a much needed break to process everything that had changed in her life since becoming Ms. Marvel. Unfortunately, the bad guys don’t take a time-out for self-reflection.

While her friends cloaked themselves in Ms. Marvel attire to keep Jersey City safe, it wasn’t enough, and they had to call in backup in the form of Captain Marvel herself.

Naftali is able to convince Kamala it’s time to come home, just in time for Ms. Marvel to help her friends defeat The Inventor – but not before she takes a mega-charged blast of electricity. This leads to a heart-to-heart between Ms. Marvel and her mentor, and the rest of the crew telling Ms. Marvel how important she is to their community.

Of course, no one puts it together that the day after Ms. Marvel returns to town, Kamala returns to school, but that’s okay. It’s just nice to have the gang back together again.
