Before you strap yourselves in for the ride of your life May 5, Telltale Games and Marvel Entertainment are eager to drop you front and center into the (mis)adventures of the crew of the Milano! This week, the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series was released and boy… are they in trouble!
The first of five episodes will be available April 18 for $4.99 on PS4, XBOX One, PC and Mac; additionally it’ll be accessible via App Store and Google Play. On May 2, a Season Pass disc will be released in North America for $29.99 US; the disc will include Episode One: Tangled Up in Blue and access to download the remaining four episodes when made available.
Completely unrelated to the MCU (as confirmed multiple times by writer/director James Gunn), the Guardians find themselves in the middle of a scrap and gain possession of a mysterious artifact of great power. Naturally, it draws the interest of a few of the galaxy’s dastardly villains. The Guardians are reluctantly tasked to protect the artifact not only from these fiends, but from their own desires to wield the device for their own gain.
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, featuring the voice talents of Scott Porter, Emily O’Brien, Nolan North, Brandon Paul Eells and Adam Harrington, is developed and published by Telltale Games.
