IN THE DOSSIER

The Inhuman Resistance deploy EMPs in major cities threatening more violence if Inhumans aren’t left alone. Coulson, Mack, and Fitz are directed to Miami to handle the stand-off there and bring the Director back a win. Daisy connects with Robbie and his little brother, but isn’t welcome for long. Meanwhile, Simmons teams with Dr. Radcliffe to save May from her hallucinations.

MAY DAY

The least interesting plot line this week had to be Radcliffe and Simmons’ efforts to save May’s life. No one ever really believed she was in any real danger of dying, even when a Resistance EMP knocks out the power just as Simmons was about to use the paddles to jolt a coding May. However, Radcliffe’s last-minute use of an alternate power source may go a long way in making the team trust him and lessen the chance they’ll clobber him when they learn about Ada.

MY BROTHER’S KEEPER

Daisy uses her power to save Gabe, revealing herself to be an Inhuman. When he calls her on it, he promises not to tell, but does want her to leave his brother alone in return. She obeys his wishes, but SHIELD is now focused on finding this Ghost Rider; we haven’t seen the last of Robbie by a long shot.

HIT SQUAD

Coulson, Mack, and Fitz track Yo-Yo to a hotel where she was attending a bachelorette party. The Resistance takes the guests hostage and demand that the Inhuman reveal their identity. This doesn’t sound like a group of Inhumans at all. Yo-Yo slyly uses her power to save a hostage accused of being an Inhuman, and her friend/the bride-to-be notices. Unlike Gabe, she outs Yo-Yo immediately. Y0-Yo needs better friends.

In one of two excellently choreographed and shot fight scenes in the episode, the trio show up just in time to keep Yo-Yo from being killed. They quickly confirm their suspicions: The Watchdogs are behind this fake Inhuman terrorist organization, and with the help from the list of registered Inhumans, they’ve been hitting cities to exterminate them.

Even though they’re able to locate and shut down the EMP, they’re unable to pinpoint the leak; several departments and every nation that signed The Accords have access to the list of Inhumans.

QUICK HITS

  • Loved seeing Fitz in the field and if not for his use of rudimentary science, they wouldn’t have located the EMP.
  • If they had the list of Inhumans, including where they’re going to be when they travel, how come they didn’t know Yo-Yo’s name and what she looked like? Are they on the list only by ID number? If this was determined, I totally missed that.
  • The two fights scenes were great. It all flowed so seamlessly and managed to be both graceful and a brawl at the same time.
  • I love Yo-Yo! More Yo-Yo, please. Less of her raggedy-ass friends though.
  • So, Senator Nadeer is behind the attack on Inhumans and is hiding her terrigen-encased brother in his apartment. Guess we know how they got the list.
  • Coulson delivered a win, allowing The Director to assure the public that Inhumans do not pose a threat and announce that SHIELD is once again on the case.
