What’s going on, ProFans? I’m taking a break from packing for my upcoming Thanksgiving trip to bring you the latest releases to home media for November 22, 2016. In this week’s episode, we discuss boxing, the scariest smart home ever, beautiful stop-motion animation, the spoils of war, and Kevin Smith. We’ve got a few titles to get to, so let’s hop to it.

Hands of Stone (R)
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 45%

Edgar Ramirez stars in this biopic as Roberto Duran, a Panamanian boxer who shocked the boxing world by beating Sugar Ray Leonard (Usher Raymond IV) for the WBC welterweight title in 1980. Their rematch, on the other hand, made history for an entirely different reason. This film, which also stars Roberto DeNiro, Ana de Armas, and John Turturro, is available in a single disc Blu-ray + Digital Copy version and a single disc DVD version. This movie is a treat for boxing fans as well as fans of biopics as a whole. Go check it out.

I.T. (NR)
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 12%

Self-made millionaire Mike Regan (Pierce Brosnan) is living the dream: he has a gorgeous wife (Anna Friel), a beautiful daughter (Stefanie Scott), and a smart home that’s living on the bleeding edge of tech. But, when he has a falling out with his I.T. consultant Ed (James Frecheville), Mike needs to go old school to defeat a new school threat to his family. This film, which also stars Michael Nyqvist, Jason Barry, and Kai Ryssdal, is available in a single disc Blu-ray version and a single disc DVD version. tThis is a fascinating movie that would probably be better in a different movie altogether.

Kubo and the Two Strings (PG)
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 97%

Kubo (Art Parkinson) is a kind hearted soul who makes his living by telling stories to the people of his village. But, when he accidentally unleashes a spirit from the past, he has to team up with Monkey (Charlize Theron) and Beetle (Matthew McConaughey) and embark on an adventure to save his family and village from the Moon King (Ralph Fiennes) with only his shamisen to protect him. This film, which also stars George Takei, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and Rooney Mara, is available in a two disc Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray + Digital Copy version, a two disc Blu-ray/DVD + Digital Copy version and a single disc DVD version. This film is gorgeous and it’s definitely worth your time. Check it out.

War Dogs (R)
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 60%

Inspired by a true story, this film tells the story of Efraim Diveroli (Jonah Hill) and David Packouz (Miles Teller) as they try to hustle their way to the American Dream by exploiting a little known government loophole and bid on military contracts. All goes well until they land a $300 million deal with the Afghan government, which puts them in contact with some shady people…including the U.S. Government. This film, which also stars Ana de Armas, Bradley Cooper, and Shaun Toub, is available in a two disc 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray + Digital Copy version, a single disc Blu-ray + Digital Copy version, and a single disc DVD version. This was a fairly silly movie, but it’s worth checking out at least once.

Yoga Hosers (PG-13)
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 20%

Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith) are typical 15 year old teenagers; they have a garage band, always on their phones, taking yoga classes, and trying their best to get into a senior party. But, when they find out the leader of a Nazi splinter group are trying to raise an army of monsters beneath their store, they enlist the help of a world-renowned manhunter (Johnny Depp) to help save the world. This film, which also stars Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, and Natasha Lyonne, is available in a two disc Blu-ray/DVD + Digital Copy version and a single disc DVD version. If you’re watching a Kevin Smith movie, you know what you’re getting yourself into. If that’s good for you, then give it a watch.
