American Hustle Trailer Features Everybody… and Their Mamas

The trailer for the upcoming American Hustle features everybody in Hollywood. OK. Not really, but definitely the hottest players in town: Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Rises), Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook), Jeremy Renner (The Avengers), Amy Adams (Man of Steel), and America’s sweetheart and Project Fandom favorite, Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games).

The minute and a half trailer feels very Goodfellas/Casino/Donnie Brasco with a dash of Boogie Nights. There’s lots of corruption, feathered hair, disco music, violence, Christian Bale playing the drums on somebody’s ass (either Adams’ or Lawrence’s), and Bradley Cooper rocking the tightest, curly ‘fro ever to sit upon a white boy’s head… and that includes Justin Timberlake.

Directed by David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook), American Hustle is partially based upon the late 1970s/early 80s ABSCAM sting. It’s expected to hit theaters in December, 2013.
