My pick of the month is Beasts of No Nation. Based on the book of the same name - which is based on the album of the same name, it stars Idris Elba as the ruthless commandant of an unnamed West African country, and Abraham Attah as Agu, the young man whose eyes we see this film through. The film promises to be ruthless and gritty, and it also could net Netflix its first Academy Award. Wouldn’t that be something?

Well, that’s all I’ve got for this month. Got any questions or comments? Did I miss something you wanted to discuss? Please feel free to hit me up in the comments section below.

Until next time…
