This week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), famed publisher and developer Telltale Games is giving the industry its first glimpse at the upcoming game, Batman: A Telltale Series. The episodic adventure will put gamers in the position of the caped crusader and his alter-ego, billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne. This series is a collaboration with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and will be released on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and mobile devices as well as PC/Mac computers. While the game is downloadable through each device’s store or marketplace, game console owners will have the opportunity to purchase a special ‘Season Pass Disc’ which will be available at retailers in North America, Latin America, and Europe. It is worth noting that purchasing the disc does not grant early access to any of the episodic content. Each episode will be accessible once it becomes available for download. Batman: A Telltale Series will be available later this summer regardless of format.

Telltale has set high expectations for this title and players can expect nothing less than an engaging experience from the developer of the critically acclaimed games Telltale’s The Walking Dead, A Wolf Among Us, and Tales from the Borderlands. Based on the screens, the company is providing a game that will leverage the large variety of Batman content. Everything from the beloved Batman: The Animated Series, to Batman Arkham games, and the Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo helmed comic books appear to be influences.
