Casting News

Daredevil Gets Its Leading Lady

True Blood may be ending, but Deborah Ann Woll won’t be out of work for long. The redhead beauty will go from playing baby vamp Jessica to Daredevil’s long-time lady love Karen Page on the Netflix original series. Woll joins a cast that already includes Charlie Cox (as Murdoch/Daredevil) and Rosario Dawson. h/t: EW

New Trailers

Homeland (Season 4)

The landscape of Showtime’s Homeland will change drastically when it returns for its 4th season this October. After the departure of star Damian Lewis, and the death of co-star James Rebhorn, some things were bound to change. It looks as if the majority of the next season will take place in Pakistan and Afghanistan as Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is working there after US troops have pulled out of the latter. The new trailer for the season doesn’t reveal much in the way of what’s going on in Carrie’s personal life - when we last saw her she was pregnant with Brody’s (Lewis) child and her father (Rebhorn) had offered to raise it. It does feature lots of tense action we’ve come to expect from Homeland.

12 Monkeys (Syfy)

Forget everything you know about the movie 12 Monkeys because this January 2015 TV series is a complete reimagining. The series stars Aaron Sanford (Nikita), Amanda Schull (Pretty Little Liars/Suits), Kirk Acevedo (Fringe/The Walking Dead), and Zeljko Ivanek (Argo).

Marvel World Domination

This week, Entertainment Weekly published some set photos from the highly anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron. Besides the usual suspects we got a look at Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and even James Rhodey.

In addition to set photos, Entertainment Weekly’s Comic Con cover gives us our first look at Ultron!

Marvel also made news when they announced that as a part of their new Avengers NOW!, The Falcon (Sam Wilson) would be taking over as Captain America in All-New Captain America #1. This came just after the reveal that Thor will be a woman in new issues beginning this October.
