Matthew’s ProFan Review: The Art of Titanfall

Hey, ProFans! I’m here with another art book review, and it is none other than The Art of Titanfall, a companion to one of the most highly anticipated games of the year. That’s right; Titanfall! I couldn’t contain my excitement when my boss asked me to review the book. Once it made it to my doorstep, I couldn’t put this book down.

From cover to cover, this book is jammed with concept art, character sketches, the Titans, even the kind of creatures you’ll be facing on the frontiers of space are in there. I’ve been following this game pretty closely and got a chance to play the multiplayer beta. It rocked hard, and this book only serves to make me ache for it more. It wasn’t enough for them to just create a game with giant robots and wall running ninjas; you get to fight dinosaurs or the very least, something like it. So between the rebel militia and the soldiers of the government, the frontier is just as deadly as it is beautiful with the sprawling pictures. The weapons, vehicles, and mech sections feel less like an art book and more like a field manual.

Titanfalldrops on March 11, 2014, as an exclusive game on Xbox One, but The Art of Titanfall is available now. If you’re as big a fan as I already am for this game, you’ll want to pick this up because it is a must have.
