Exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 and expected for release in Early 2015, ScreamRide is a game in development from Frontier Developments. Frontier made the first three Roller Coaster Tycoon games and have partnered with Microsoft Studios as Roller Coaster Tycoon is now owned by Atari.

According to Frontier, ScreamRide, “reinvents the builder/action genre with a unique balance of creation, addictive gameplay and destruction”.

Gamers will be allowed to build roller coaster rides and environments as well as, “pilot your riders through the tracks with skill, share your dream creations with friends, or destroy anything and everything with phenomenal physics and deafening destruction”. Players can control all features in the park’s rides or choose to play a specific role. The roles include Engineer, Scream Rider, and Demolition Expert.

As an Engineer, gamers can solve construction puzzles and build the creations they imagine. As the Scream Rider, players control the coasters they have created or pilot a ride shared by friends using Xbox Live. The Demolition Expert earns points by destroying ride creations in interesting ways.

The game will feature Online Leaderboards as well as Challenges, which will include racing coasters around a track faster than your friends in order to earn the highest “scream rating” from the riders.
