No Spoilers, Whovians! Doctor Who 50th Special Simulcast Internationally

Don’t fret, Whovians on this side of the pond. In a statement released today, the BBC has confirmed that the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special will broadcast simultaneously in 200 countries, making it the largest simulcast in television history. They’re hoping this will cut down on leaked spoilers ruining all the timey wimey goodness they have planned for the show.

It’s always been our ambition to work with our broadcast partners so that international Doctor Who fans can enjoy the 50th Anniversary special at the same time as the UK. We’ll have more details soon about our very exciting global plans for November.

The special is scheduled to air on November 23rd. We’ll get you the exact airtime across time zones as soon as we know them.
