Podcast Fandom Episode 31: The Walking Dead - Too Far Gone

In this episode of Podcast Fandom: Nina, Meghan, and John podcap The Walking Dead‘s midseason finale “Too Far Gone“. Along with the usual scene-by-scene discussion, they also manage to mention The Simpsons; The Warriors; and, yes, Batman. Roddy Piper would be pleased, too, because things get a bit rowdy when the trio discusses some Lord of the Flies-like developments on the series. This is a bit of a longer episode, as you’d expect, since it’s the midseason finale and all.

  • As usual, this episode of Podcast Fandom is partially brought to you in affiliation with Audible.com. They have over 150,000 audiobooks for you to choose from. In this episode, we mention Lord of the Flies, the classic novel by William Golding. You can head to audibletrial.com/podcastfandom, to get one free audiobook download just for being a Podcast Fandom listener. If you’re so inclined, there are a couple versions of Lord of the Flies available on audible.com. The first is narrated by William Golding, himself; it’s a very dry and straightforward narration. If that’s not what you’re looking for, there’s also a version narrated by the actor Martin Jarvis. Jarvis starred on many episodes of the classic Doctor Who series, and you may recognize his voice as Alfred Pennyworth in Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Origins. His narration is very lively. You have two very distinct versions to choose from, or you can download any one of the other 150,000+ available titles.
  • There will be another, shorter episode of Podcast Fandom posted tonight, wherein we discuss all the great feedback we got about “Too Far Gone” and any possible predictions we have for the next half-season.
