Triple the Action, Triple the Intrigue in Marvel’s Spider-Women Alpha #1

Just when the concept of multiple realities was considered an old memory, three of Marvel’s more popular heroes are forced to team up after being caught in the middle of an inter-dimensional fiasco. Beginning in April, Marvel will release the first great limited series of 2016 featuring Spider-Woman, Silk and Spider-Gwen!

News of Marvel’s first 2016 event was initially announced some months ago, but in the time since, the publisher has finally revealed additional info and new art to hype up the series’ release (like the anticipation isn’t obscenely high already). Written and drawn by a cavalcade of Marvel’s best and brightest, the now renamed Spider-Women Alpha will be an 8-issue series featuring the heroines who were quickly received as favorites in Dan Slott’s Spider-Verse event in 2014.

As stated in the announcement:

A routine trip to Earth-65 to visit Spider-Gwen turns into a nightmare as Silk and Spider-Woman find themselves trapped on Gwen’s alternate Earth! And they’re not alone! The villainous organization S.I.L.K. is on their tails, and they’re dead set on using these interdimensional interlopers for their own gains. Now, it’s a race against time to get home in one piece! But while these Spider-Women struggle to find their way back, who’s keeping an eye on their universe? Plus – Cindy Moon comes face-to-face with her Earth-65 counterpart!

Written by Jason Latour, Dennis Hopeless and Robbie Thompson, and illustrated by Vanesa Del Ray, Bengal, Javier Rodriguez, Tana Ford and more, Spider-Women Alpha will swing its way into shops and digital sites on April 6!

An event series wouldn’t be complete without a ton of variants to celebrate the new release! Spider-Women Alpha will feature covers from J. Scott Campbell, Stacey Lee and John Tyler Christopher!
