Walker Stalker Con Offers a Family-Friendly Environment

We will be attending the first annual Walker Stalker Con on the weekend of November 1-3, and we hope to see you there with us!

Walker Stalker Con is a zombie, horror, and sci-fi-themed convention taking place in Atlanta, Georgia. You hear that, and you’re probably thinking it may not be a great place for your whole family, right? Especially kids who may be a bit younger than the usual zombie/horror demographic. We’re happy to tell you, though, that Walker Stalker Con is not only okay for the whole family, but it’s going to be full of great fun and entertainment for everyone of every age. In fact, if your kid is under 10, they’ll get in free when you pay for your ticket. Pretty sweet deal.

From today’s press release about Walker Stalker Con’s family-friendly activities:

Children will love the family-friendly vendors, celebrity sightings, games and activities including:

  • LEGOLAND® Discovery Center will be on site with their master model builder showing both adults and children how they can play and build with LEGO bricks!

  • Medieval Times Atlanta will bring their valiant knights to Walker Stalker Con to fend off any zombie attacks and interact with children. Walker Stalker Con guests will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to Medieval Times at a very special rate of $35 per ticket (tax is included). The booth will have several photo opportunities as well as a chance to win a sword.

  • Georgia Reptile Society will help kids experience the wonderful world of reptiles at their booth. They will be bringing a variety of reptiles, amphibians and arachnids for guests to see up close. They will also have some animals kids can touch, such as Brownie the Leopard Tortoise, and Leah the Burmese Python.

  • Face Off’s Roy Wooley (seasons 3 & 5), will be available all weekend at his table doing makeup applications to fans, as well as autograph signings and photo ops. Face Off’s RJ Haddy (seasons 2 & 5), will be holding FX workshops in addition to doing makeup applications, autograph signings and photo ops at his table. (Fees apply.)

  • For kids who want to act, Extras Casting Atlanta will be on hand to sign up future actors for roles in movies and TV shows being filmed in and around the Atlanta area.  This could be a special kid’s chance to get into show business!

  • In addition, St. Jude is the official charitable partner for the event. Children who stop by the “Raising Spirits for St. Jude” booth will see a LIFESIZE zombie cake, and get the chance to spin the “Wheel of Spirits” ($1 per spin, every spin wins a prize). This is an opportunity for kids to help kids, as all proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Walker Stalker Con is going to be absolutely loaded with fun for your family, but that’s not all. In addition to the above, don’t forget Walker Stalker Con will have several guests from the horror/sci-fi world: Giancarlo Esposito, Kane Hodder, Judith O’Dea, and many more. The guest list also includes many cast members from the hit series The Walking Dead: Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Laurie Holden, Scott Wilson, Danai Gurira, and even more! For your kids, Chandler Riggs, Addy Miller, and Kylie Szymanski will be there; as if that wasn’t enough, Emily Kinney will also be there in concert on the night of Saturday, November 2nd.
