BioWare Announces Big News for N7 Day

Happy N7 Day to my fellow Mass Effect fans out there. N7 Day has been very good for Mass Effect fans this year, and incredibly great for those of us on the Xbox One.

For starters, the first real trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda was released earlier today, and it’s incredible! It’s mostly cinematic, but there are some bits of gameplay in there, and they look awesome. The story in a nutshell is that a few members of the Galactic Council (Humans, Salarians, Krogans, and Asari) have boarded a ship called the Hyperion and are en route to the Andromeda galaxy, when something goes awry, and they find themselves aliens in an alien land. They have to cope with new threats, and they have to do it alone; there will be no help out there.

The next thing is that the critically acclaimed Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 are now backwards compatible for the Xbox One starting today. So, if you have those discs lying around from the Xbox 360, go ahead and dust them off and throw them in. Commander Shepard and the crew of the Normandy are waiting for you.

More details will come as they arise, but until then…I should go.
